Butter tarts and ice cream – could there be a more mouth-watering combination!

MIDLAND, ON – Canada’s largest butter tart festival will transform Midland’s downtown core into the sweetest day of the year on June 14, 2025. This one-day celebration will be presented by Chapman’s, as set out in a new partnership for 2025 and 2026. As Chapman’s celebrates the launch of their new Butter Tart ice cream, this collaboration goes hand-in-hand.

Festival visitors will have the chance to sample Chapman’s new Super Premium Plus Butter Tart ice cream. A rich and creamy ice cream with notes of brown butter, brown sugar and shortbread, brimming with plump juicy raisins, soft cookie crumble, and a sweet maple ripple. Made with 100% Canadian dairy, this is the first luxury ice cream in the world that is peanut free, nut free and egg free.

Ontario’s Best Butter Tart Festival is a uniquely Canadian event for people of all ages, featuring over 300,000 butter tarts, 230+ vendors, live music and a Kids’ Zone. Admission to the event is free and runs from 9am to 5pm. Voted by Festivals and Events Ontario as one of the top 100 Festivals and Events in the province, this family-friendly event began in 2013, and draws approximately 60,000 butter tart lovers annually.
