Markdale, ON – Chapman’s Ice Cream recently announced a permanent change in their shift work scheduling to accommodate multiple requests from workers, improve employee well being and increase productivity. The Company has now eliminated their day/afternoon/night rotating shifts and offer two options: straight nights and rotating day/afternoon shifts.

New scheduling policies are aimed to offer Chapman’s employees more consistency, stability, and more normalcy to their personal lives. The Company hopes to improve employee work satisfaction and decrease employee fatigue by eliminating the ongoing need to adjust their biological clock to rotating shifts.

The company continuously enforces its focus on employees. Chapman’s was one of the first manufacturing facilities in the area to increase the starting wage to $16.50.
