Title: Maintenance Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance Procurement Specialist to support maintenance and operations teams. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials to ensure equipment reliability and efficient facility operations.

Job Duties

  • Procure MRO materials, spare parts, tools, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve best value
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with maintenance teams to forecast demand
  • Create and manage purchase orders; track shipments and ensure on-time delivery
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement alternative sourcing strategies
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting
  • Work closely with maintenance planners and technicians to understand technical requirements

Position Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of MRO materials and inventory management practices
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems
  • Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in manufacturing, facilities management, or heavy industry is preferred

This is a full-time position, based in our Chapman’s maintenance department in Markdale, Ontario.

Compensation

At Chapman’s, compensation is guided by a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes and rewards individual contributions.

Salary Range

$78,000 to $88,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
