Real vs Fake
Read the Label. If it says frozen dessert, it’s not ice cream.
Ice cream lovers beware! The next time you visit the ice cream aisle at your grocery store, be vigilant. Within the cold depths of the store’s freezers there are numerous frozen dessert manufacturers masquerading their brands as real ice cream. Frozen desserts contain no milk, and are made with edible oils like palm kernel or coconut oil. Real ice cream, on the other hand, is made from 100% milk.
“A great ice cream is about wholesome ingredients
and commitment to quality.” -- David Chapman
Look for the 100% Canadian Milk symbol, and the words Ice Cream on the package. At Chapman’s, we are proud to manufacture products using only 100% Canadian dairy.
